Suomen Satamatekniikka Oy

Steveco Oy’s subsidiary, Suomen Satamatekniikka Oy, commenced operations in the spring of 2008. The company owns the cargo handling machinery used by the Steveco Group, but also rents machines to other clients through short-term and long-term contracts. Satamatekniikka also sells maintenance and repair services.

Satamatekniikka operates at Hietanen and at the Mussalo container and bulk terminals in Kotka, in Hamina, and at Vuosaari in Helsinki.

The total number of machinery is 364. The range of machinery covers fork lift trucks of under 10 tonnes, from 12 to 20 tonnes, and over 20 tonnes. The container handling machinery comprises straddle carriers, reach stackers, empty container movers and container movers. The crane machinery encompasses mobile, STS container and level luffing cranes. Moreover, the machinery includes terminal tractors, wheel loaders, translifters and other machinery (auxiliary machinery).
